Entheogen
An entheogen (“generating the divine within”) is a chemical substance used in a religious, shamanic, or spiritual context that may be synthesized or obtained from natural species. The chemical induces altered states of consciousness, psychological or physiological.

Oleo-Gum-Resin
The components of raw plant resin. The oleo is fat soluble, the gum is water soluble, and the resin is alcohol soluble.

Opioid Receptors
There are four types of receptors; mu, delta, kappa (salvia), and Nociceptin.

Psychedelic
A psychedelic substance is a psychoactive drug whose primary action is to alter cognition and perception. most psychedelic drugs fall into one of the three following families of chemical compounds; tryptamines [more specifically: alkylated tryptamines], phenethylamines [more specifically: alkoxylated phenethylamines], and lysergamides.

Psychoactive
A chemical substance that crosses the blood–brain barrier and acts primarily upon the central nervous system where it affects brain function, resulting in alterations in perception, mood, consciousness, cognition, and behavior.
